July 826 3 One-week Sessions 10AM3PM:
Weaving Yarns, Telling Tales & Creating Chronicles
This summer at the American Visionary Art Museum, we will be hosting
our first ever Visionary Experience. For three consecutive weeks in
the month of July we will be opening up our doors to middle school students
for this opportunity to enjoy experiences with Visionary artists, fascinating
artwork, and tons of hands-on creating and collaborating in puppetry,
theatre, writing, visual arts and more! Spend time with AVAM staff and
our visiting Visionary Artists to create individual and group works
relating to the ideas involved in the Telling of Tales. The three weeks
(which can be experienced individually or as a whole!) will conclude
with a Visionary Salon where students will be invited to showcase their
creations and performances. Families and friends will be invited to
spend the day at AVAM and immerse themselves in the students' Visionary
tales.
